How to Get to Lesvos

Direct Flights

Currently Jet2 is the only operator offering direct flights from the UK to Mytilene, (MJT), Lesvos. Flights for 2024 are planned to run from May to October from the following UK airports:
London Stansted – twice a week on Wednesdays & Sundays
Manchester – twice a week on Wednesdays & Sundays
Birmingham - once a week on Sundays

Flights via Athens

For far more flexibility with year-round dates, airline choices, UK departure airports and competitive prices, we strongly recommend flying to Mytilene via Athens, where there are several domestic flights a day to Mytilene. Athens, (ATH), is a modern, calm and well-organised airport served by several airlines from most UK airports including:

Aegean Airlines
EasyJet
British Airways

Greek domestic airlines that currently fly from Athens to Mytilene are:
Aegean Air
Olympic Air
Sky Express

By Sea

There are numerous ferry companies that operate in Greece from the mainland and other Greek islands. A popular route runs daily from Athens (the port of Piraeus) to Mytilene on Lesvos and takes around 12 hours. During summer, Blue Star Ferries also connect Piraeus, Mykonos and Mesta (Chios) to Sigri in Lesvos. Please see below for further information:
